Synopsis
« Nolan, a young cross-border commuter, is trying to find his place between two countries, two distinct worlds. He believes he has found in his teacher an adult who is finally ready to support him. But the reason for Carole’s interest lies elsewhere entirely. If Nolan is to find his place, he will have to forge his own path. »

Director Statement
Les Écorchés explores the grey area of human relationships, probing the dark side of the bonds that unite us. Through Carole and Nolan, two characters bound by mutual dependence, I seek to highlight the ambivalence of emotions, the subtle hold and inner wounds that force them to evolve. Where the need to be recognised can become a trap.
Les Écorchés explore la zone grise des relations humaines, en sondant la part obscure des liens qui nous unissent. À travers Carole et Nolan, deux personnages liés par une dépendance réciproque, le film met en lumière l’ambivalence des émotions, l’emprise subtile et les blessures intérieures qui les contraignent à évoluer. Là où le besoin d’être reconnu peut devenir piège.

The screenplay was selected for the prestigious ATELIER GRAND NORD writing residency and received writing assistance from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (OFC). The film is co-produced in Switzerland, in Luxembourg by the production company Six Letters and in France with Blue Hour Films.
The project includes musical pieces composed by artists LA GALE and Glauque
